“A horse without a rider is still just a horse. A rider without a horse is just a person.”
My Philosophy
Most issues with horses arise when there is a lack of understanding, either in the question, human, the atmosphere, or their own physical experience. A horse that is not connected to their body is in a state of fight or flight and I believe that it is our job as riders to guide them through managing their emotions productively and become a trustworthy partner.
A horse will never fully submit to their surroundings all of the time, but if they trust their human they will follow us. So many of us riders are taught to micromanage and override our horses with too much pressure, short necks, and incorrect gaits. The beauty is in the softness and many of us have never felt that.
When we are constantly praised when our horses go behind the bit, and rewarded when there are tension signals flashing in our faces, how can we know the difference?
That is where I come in.
Let me show you that there is a better way. That it is possible to achieve sheer power of expression and pride in our horses without compromising their health. Many of us perceive things incorrectly and haven’t been taught to read the horses, and they are screaming loud and clear. I think it’s time we listen.
“It is possible to achieve sheer power of expression and pride in our horses without compromising their health.”
The Energetics:
I believe that all of us start out in this world because of an initial love of horses. The fire and determination for sport or advancement in the industry follows the passion that blooms from being felt and inspired by the animal first. Over the years I have grown to understand the importance and reality of how these incredible beings can truly influence the collective and help us access our highest selves.
Horses are mirrors of the energy they encounter. They can analyze up to 500 different facial expressions and emotions, and smell stress pheromones. They have an energetic field that extends 5x that of a human. When in a herd, horses will sync their heartbeats and breath, and are able to notice subtle shifts in each other’s energy from up to 400 meters away. Their natural vibration is between 55-65 mHz and they have the ability to adjust their frequencies to herd members around them in order to keep balance and constant communication, and do the same for humans.
I help horses reach their highest possible sense of self while living a domesticated lifestyle in an unnatural world. Many that I work with have had traumatic pasts or bad experiences with humans and I teach them to engage in activity while still being able to access relaxation and proper breathing patterns, regulate their nervous systems, and to TRUST and enjoy humans- health management from the inside out.
As humans we are faced with daily challenges that throw us off balance. If we want to achieve the most with our horses and in our daily lives, we must be connected in body, mind, and soul. I truly enjoy helping people find genuine connection, communication, and harmony with their horses to build trust and respect in the relationship. Together we will regulate breath, practice body awareness, and learn equine physiology to bring a deeper form of communication and understanding in and out of the saddle. You will learn to guide your horse with quiet and correct aids while experiencing what it feels like to have a true willing participant and partner. We are able to bring two souls together as partners and co-beings in our most natural state and provide healing to our horses while also receiving something profound in return.
Testimonials
“I started training with Sadie on a client’s horse last year, leading me to quickly realize I’d found the right fit for my personal horse. I’d been looking for someone to help me start my first homebred slowly and correctly for years, but always ran into people who wanted to move faster than we were both mentally and physically ready to go.
Sadie met us where we were at and has taught us both so much, both slowly and correctly in the way I’d been searching for. She’s helped me understand a ton of equine (and human!) quirks, learn all the right tools, and helps my horse and I form a closer bond as a team.
Sadie has been such a privilege to train under and has taught me so many lessons both in the saddle and on the ground. Watching her examine both the equine and human mind is truly amazing, and has broadened my understanding of my horse(s) and myself as a horse person. There’s no one I’d recommend more!”

“Sadie… an all around superb horse woman on all levels. She can ride beautifully with subtlety, imbue the horse with confidence, and is uncommonly perceptive about the horses needs and the owners needs emotionally and physically.
Her calmness and depth and width of education, i.e. a truly ginormous ‘tool box’ yields results with no drama or wasted energy, expects and receives mutual respect and trust. She understands where you want to go with your horse, makes a plan and helps you get there.
She is reliable and charming and always learning more, so that she can teach more. A remarkable woman.”
